About Cathy Kovarik
I have been interested in photography since I was 12 years old when my dad gave me a point and shoot camera for Christmas. From then on, I spent all my allowance on film and having it developed. As the years passed, I went to a Pentax K1000. Between working and children, I had little time to devote to my passion, but I continued spending what free time I had taking photo's. When digital camera's first arrived, I was fascinated by the concept. I started with a Kodak point and shoot digital camera (2.3 megapixels!) and currently have a Nikon D90. I was able to take a couple of classes along the way in photography and then Photoshop. I love the freedom to create with the digital medium as well as taking classic images. I joined a couple of photography websites and learned from my fellow shutterbugs. I have won some awards and have sold a few images along the way. Some of my images have appeared on Jones Soda bottles as well as one of their cartons. I also belong to several stock photo sites where I have also sold my images. I hope to share my love of photography and art here on fine art america.
